1. Larry Heard AKA Mr Fingers Live @ Carriageworks
In his 30 year career, Larry Heard has released some of house music’s most revered tracks under a whole bunch of different disguises. However, it was his Outer Acid EP release, the first material by a ‘Mr Fingers’ which led to this being perhaps his most well-known alter ego ever.
With the EP being the only material he has released in twenty years, the Red Bull Music Academy performance at Carriageworks is just another step in the resurrection of Larry Heard.

2. Post Its Improv @ Sydney Fringe Comedy
Ah, the humble post it note. One of the most underrated items of stationary to grace the office scene. What ever happened to just writing shit down? These days it’s all about being fancy and making a note in your phone (which always ends up being deleted or ignored anyway.)
Well, if you just wish you could get back to the good old days- wish no more.Watch a talented and extremely funny bunch from The Improv Theatre Sydney bring you the best thing since….the post it note?

3. Smooth Festival Of Chocolate
This is one is for the foodie’s who don’t mind getting chocolate-wasted. The highly successful Smooth Festival of Chocolate is back this year with a crazy line up, from melted chocolate to tempered chocolate, the festival brings you the latest instagram-trending desserts.
Not only will there be over 80 stalls set up on the day, but there will also be The Callebaut Test Kitchen, where cooking demonstrations by Sydney’s top pastry chefs will take place.

4. Festival of the Winds
Australia’s largest kite festival is back this year on Bondi Beach, with local and international Kites of all shapes and sizes being flown against the backdrop of music to entertain those on the sand.
There will also be a food alley in Bondi Park and a festival stage with performances by various countries such as Thailand, Africa and Cook Islands to name a few.

5. My Scientology Movie
Louis Theroux’s first feature documentary, Louix Theroux: My Scientology Movie hits the big screen’s in Australia on September 8th, for one week only ahead of his Australian tour.
The documentary, created with Director John Dower and Academy Award winning producer Simon Chinn, follows Theroux and his fascination with the religion as well as his request to enter the Church of Scientology HQ in LA- which is promptly turned down. However, Theroux being the man he is, can’t take no for an answer. The documentary explores the certain things people will do in the name of religion, no matter how strange.
