Look at what we could have had.

Pro skating legend Tony Hawk revealed via Twitter the concept art for what would have been a skateboarding version of the Looney Tunes/Michael Jordan classic Space Jam.

According to Hawk’s tweet, the movie was being developed back in 2003 when Warner Brothers was interested in bringing the Looney Tunes gang back to the big screen. However, when the Brendan Fraser film Looney Tunes: Back in Action bombed, the studio scrapped the project.

The Tony Hawk project was also titled Skate Jam, which isn’t a great title but there’s no doubt in our minds that this movie would have been iconic.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the sobs of 90’s kids around the world, lamenting what could have been hands down their favourite movie of all time.

At least M.I.A.’s released her hidden 2000’s project for anyone feeling nostalgic.
