To be fair, citizens of New York City have had a lot to deal with lately. Maybe that’s why they’re punching more than 77.44 metric tones of kush per year.

And this is before it’s even been legalised.

A recent study from Seedo set out with the intention to show how much tax revenue cities are missing out on by failing to legalise marijuana. According to the report, NYC’s losing around $156.4 million worth of annual revenue by not taxing pot at the same rate as cigarettes.

Next on the list of aficionados is Karachi, Pakistan (41.95 metric tones), followed by New Delhi (38.36), with LA slotting in a close fourth (36.06 metric tons).

Pack those cones ladies and gentlemen, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne can’t be listed amongst the world’s most liveable cities unless we’re blazed enough to ignore the blatant public transport issues, general cost of living, or the fucking Ibis.

Too blazed to digest news over the weekend?
