It can be argued that in 2017 we depend on, and worship at the throne of technology because of the way it has totally shaped our every day lives. However, some have taken this adoration way too far.
In Washington DC yesterday, a robot designed to patrol areas for security risk toppled into a water fountain whilst ‘on duty’ and was likely damaged beyond repair. It was spotted floating in the fountain by an onlooker and had only been on duty for a week prior to the incident. A fruitful yet short existence.
There have been an outpouring of tributes on social media for the robot, named Steve with people expressing their sadness. WTF is 2017.
