At REDDS, our Riders are more than just brand ambassadors – they’re at the forefront of culture, shaping music, fashion, art, and design in their own distinctive ways.
This month, we’re shining a light on some of our favourite creatives who are making a real impact. Each one is carving out their own path, offering fresh perspectives on culture and championing Australian arts in powerful ways.
Meet Buse, a DJ Based in Sydney, Australia: get her hot take and find out what’s in her red cup. Join the ride.
I feel that Australia’s music scene, particularly Sydney’s, hasn’t progressed much. Unless you’re in the deep pockets of Sydney where niche sounds have grown, most people aren’t really seeing or embracing it. Thankfully, with the help of social media, these genre-bending sounds are reaching more people, which is amazing! However, Australia as a whole still has a lot of catching up to do in accepting new sounds and genres, especially broadcast radio.
What’s your take on the intersection of fashion and music? How do the two worlds complement each other?
Music and fashion work hand in hand. Without music I feel like fashion wouldn’t be what it is. You can’t have a runway without music right?! But for me personally, music reflects my mood and sometimes I’ll express that via fashion as well.
Is there a particular event or festival around the world that you dream of playing at?
Boiler Room is the dreaammm! I would love to score a boiler room and just really show people what I’m made of.
Looking ahead to 2025, what’s next for you? Any exciting plans or projects in the works?
2025 is the year of being locked in for me! Locking into whatever I set my mind to. And in terms of music and DJing, I really want to refocus what my intentions are and re-align myself with my passions!
What’s in your red cup? If you had to choose a drink or cocktail that best represents you, what would it be?
Super basic but a drink that would best represent me, is a vodka orange hahaha all my friends know that’s my drink.
I need Kaytranada at my party! He just seems so fun to party with!
