Sydney is continuing to clamp down on areas where alcohol can be consumed. Over the past 7 years, the number of alcohol free spaces has nearly tripled, with Jubilee Park, Blackwattle Bay, and Harold Park the latest casualties.
Reclaim The Streets are hosting a ‘Civil Disobedience Party’ at Camperdown Memorial Park tonight.
The Facebook event says:
“Imagine a law that made it illegal to have a drink in your local park. Now, imagine this law was disproportionately used to target young people, Indigenous people, and the homeless.”
