The shoes feature the OG tricoloured blue, white and red, along with the iconic retro tongue branding.
They’re designed to reference the 1979 Japanese anime, Mobile Suit Gundam. The popular TV series featured giant militarised robots, and went on to spawn video games, manga, films, and toys.
It’s going to be a big year for the Max 98s, as the shoe kicks off (sorry) it’s 20th birthday celebrations.
It’s also going to be a big sneaker week, with Tyler, The Creator’s new Golf Le Fleurs also launching on the 18th.
