I know, it just seems too good to be true. That’s enough to fill the entire Splendour bill, just with hip hop and rap acts!
Oh, and did you peep local Redfern act Tha Kid Laroi on Day 2? Absolutely huge news for the 16-year-old rapper and muso. Big ups Laroi!
Day n Vegas is sure to bring us many more headlines closer to the event itself. It’s notable that TDE members, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Isiah Rashad and Zacari are all scheduled to perform at the festival. Will there be an on-stage Black Hippy reunion? Who knows.
Although it’s unlikely Australia will be receiving a hip-hop festival of this magnitude anytime soon, a boy can dream. Tickets for the festival are set to go on sale on June 28th, starting at $299 USD for early bird, general admission passes. Just gonna check my savings real quick.
In more music news, Kid Cudi and ASAP Rocky have recently teased an upcoming world tour.
