What’s the most exciting thing you accomplished over the last 182 days? Getting 15 uni essays done in amongst 23 house parties and 7 live gigs?
We don’t mean to steal the limelight, but in six months Montreal based photographer, Scott Pilgrim conceived his body of work aptly titled 182 Days. It’s his first solo exhibition after 12 years of photography.
Scott is uber careful when lining up the shot, since he’s dealing with film. His biggest dilemma is deciding whether or not to take the photo or remember the moment.
“For me the essence of photography is inherently of the moment and in putting this together I was attempting to have as much control… before I took each photo”
While 182 days deals with a both still life and landscape, Pilgrim is mindful in conserving film which innately condenses his subject matter and keeps him consistent.
If you have a knack for being in the right place at the right time, you’ll be seeing Pilgrim @ Never Apart in Montreal.
