Connor’s MMA coach (John Kavanagh) is riling us all up for the impending McGregor v Mayweather fight.
“We’re training for it.”
Kavanagh speaking with Fox Sports confirmed Irishman, McGregor, has already started brushing up on his hooks and jabs in preparation for the bout, apparently set to take place THIS YEAR. It’s big news, with McGregor crossing codes and bringing Mayweather ‘out of retirement’ to put on potentially one of the largest grossing fight of all time.
Whilst it isn’t set in stone, Kavanagh is convinced:
There’s different promotions, different organizations, different commissions that are involved, but as far as I’m concerned, I really believe it’s going to happen this year. That’s the mindset I have.
Commentators predict it will last only three minutes and culminate in a blood bath, seeing that each fighter can’t do the other’s sport. Then there’s other rumours going around, such as a 147 pound (66.6 kg) fight weight.
Seeing that Floyd ‘money’ Mayweather retired late 2015, the fight is rumoured to be worth over $A165 million. Of course Mayweather with his TV rights, and endless distribution will be taking the lions share over McGregor, just as he did with Pacquiao in May ’15.
Whatever side of the ring you’re on, it’s going to be phenomenal.
