Over the weekend Sydney gave Mike Baird another reason to carefully strategise his political (and corrupt) decisions to save his own ass, as over 4,000 beautiful people turned out to show their support against the destructive lockout laws.

The rally started at Belmore park in Central and marched up Oxford street, concluding at a festival stage at Taylor Square, engaging the thousands into a mini street party.

It was a rally disguised as a party, as KSO head honcho Tyson Kho noted, drawing the attention of national media and the City of Sydney. Councillor Jess Scully passionately pledged on behalf of Clover Moore and the City of Sydney, to stand with the Keep Sydney Open organisation and the people of Sydney, against the Baird government on these matters.

With no police issues, no disrespectful behaviour, and the same vibe you would get walking into a house party, these supportive and positive events demonstrate the type of people that this movement gathers together, contrary to the conservative media’s stereotype they paint of boozed-up, testosterone-filled delinquents.

With still a while to go before people power makes it’s mark on these unjust laws, it’s important to continue your support for Keep Sydney Open and maintain the pressure to reclaim Sydney from the corruptive grip it’s currently in.
