November 10 is upon us, a day that’ll truly act as a marker in our generation’s history.
Kanye and Jay-Z’s feud totally shook up mid-2017, revealing the crumbling friendship of the two powerhouses over, you called it, money. In the process, Ye ended up cutting ties with TIDAL altogether. In the truest Kanye fashion, a new project seems to be underway. Since dominating music, fashion, and probably politics, streaming seems to be the only playing field Ye is yet to dominate.
“Yeezy Sound” was trademarked last week and is apparently going to be used for the purpose of “streaming of music, audio, images, video and other multimedia content over the internet, mobile devices, wireless networks, and other computer networks and electronic communications networks.” Sounds very Kanye to us.
Kanye has been awfully quiet this year – besides the fight between him and Jay, and his recent live appearance at ComplexCon with Kid Cudi, now seems like the prime opportunity for Ye to drop new music. After all, ‘Hey Mama Day‘ is set in gear for Friday, in which Kanye fans plan to stream his tracks to ensure Taylor doesn’t quite scoop that number 1 spot.
If Ye has got the ball rolling on the program, could it be rolled out this Friday to shift the attention from Taylor’s album drop? It was also just announced that Taylor’s album, ‘Reputation’, may not even be available for streaming services on Friday due to ongoing disputes with her management and streaming services. This is all too much of a coincidence.
Buckle up, this Friday is going to be a showdown and a half.
