After teasing us through Twitter and a new single, Jaden Smith has released his latest album SYRE: The Electric Album on his 20th birthday; what better way to celebrate the birth of an Icon.

Jaden made the official announcement for the album last month, just before he released what is now its lead single, Ghost.

Earlier in the week Smith also teased info on the project via his twitter handle, including the facts that SYRE: The Electric Album is not a rap album, and that it would debut on his official Instagram page.

Smith recently spoke with The Fader, where he gave us the insight that JAY-Z was a big source of inspiration for the project:

“I decided to talk to Hov and he told me he thought the album was cool and he said as I got older I would space out my verses more and I’d say more with less…That’s the total inspiration behind my next album.”

Check out the latest and greatest from Jaden below.
