24 hours after the release of J. Cole’s KOD, streams of the album via Apple Music had hit a record 64.5 million – edging out Drake’s Views (2016) by around 1 million streams. Seven songs from KOD now sit in the top 10 most streamed songs over a 24-hour period.

Apple Music – despite having 120 million users less than Spotify – continues to give it’s competitors headaches, and is projected to outgrow Spotify sometime through the American summer.

It’ll be interesting to see how Drake’s next album, Scorpion, will stand up to these numbers.
