It’s only Wednesday, and this week has been riddled with ongoing developments in the Jay-Z vs Kanye fued that will define 2017.
After it was revealed that Ye and Jay were beefing over Tidal, rumours swelled surrounding the deeper meaning of lyrics on 4:44.
On the track ‘Kill Jay-Z’, it’s suggested that Jay gave Kanye $20 Million as a gift :
“I know people backstab you, I felt bad too
But this ‘fuck everybody’ attitude ain’t natural
But you ain’t a Saint, this ain’t KumbaYe
But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye
You gave him 20 million without blinkin’
He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?”
According to TMZ, the $20 Million was an advance given to Kanye in support of his ‘Saint Pablo’ Tour, which was ended pre-maturely due to Kanye’s hospitalisation. The line, is apparently in reference to Kanye telling his Sacramento crowd, “Jay Z, call me bro”.
The whole situation is starting to play out like a Shakespearean tragedy.
I don’t wanna live in a world where Kanye and Jay Z are beefing. Also sick by those who encourage it SMH

Jay Z & Kanye’s brotherhood will never be broken. Sometimes you have to give your family tough words. Jay Z did just that on 4:44. pic.twitter.com/UdQwdfvfJp
