A golden statue of Hollywood degenerate Harvey Weinstein has appeared ahead of earth’s most boring awards ceremony, The Academy Awards.
“Casting Couch” Oscars 2018. A collaboration between @plasticjesus & @morgothlot Harvey Weinstein became an icon in the entertainment industry. His power and influence was almost without compare. However, whilst many thought the ‘casting couch’ was a thing of the past it was clearly still a part of the Hollywood culture. For many years the exploitation of many hopefuls and established names in the industry was brushed under the carpet with their complaints of harassment and sexual abuse being ignore or worse. The installation was put together by Plastic Jesus and Joshua Monroe, and shows Weinstein in his signature, ubiquitously stained bathrobe, clutching his “Oscar” on a “casting couch”. Harvey Weinstein was all about his bathrobe, luring actors up to his hotel room under the guise of a “meeting” before charging around the hotel room begging for a ‘massage’.
It’s the fourth year Plastic Jesus has hit the awards ceremony. Last year, he created a sculpture of the awards statue snorting coke to “Hollywoods best party”.

The piece is expected to get global media attention and blow up the internet. The piece will be revealed to the world on Thursday 1st March – 3 days before the awards ceremony. Art is not cheap and projects like this don’t actually earn the artists money. There are materials, paint, fabrication, supplies, security for the piece, etc. it all adds up.
