Uber has had it’s fair share of bad press recently, but that won’t stop the official chauffeurs of foolish drunks everywhere from asserting it’s dominance up against the little guy.
Back in 2014, Sydney resident/ old man who yells at clouds, Russell Howarth, would hail Ubers via the app and then perform a citizen’s arrest on the driver at the end of the trip for breaching the NSW Passenger Transport Act
Back in April he copped a restraining order, permanently banning him from Ubers and he’s now been ordered to pay up around 60% of what Uber spent on legal representation – $400K.
Looks like old mate Horwath will have a hard time getting a ride home after his next night night.
