Grand Theft Auto was always one of those games that coloured the narrative of adolescence with sex, carjackings, shootouts and army-tank-highway rampages.

We’d sit out the back of my cousins joint with his modded-out Sony and see who could perform the most atrocities in Liberty City.

The fifth instalment of the franchise recently became the highest grossing entertainment product of all time, burning any other film, book or album in history. The game’s brought in a whopping $90 million in sales and $6 billion in revenue.

GTAV‘s recently expanded online multiplayer is a large part of the game’s success. (I recently gave it a shot but only managed to run over a mate near the airport as a warped version of Johnny Depp.)
