It’s been nearly five years since the popular British crime drama Top Boy was cancelled, but now the show has finally been resurrected by none other than OVO icon, Drake.
Back in 2017, news broke that Drake bought the rights to the popular British TV Show after it was dropped by Channel 4; because he literally just loved it that much.
The series, which features the likes of UK Grime artists Kano and Bashy, follows the story of two drug dealers in Hackney, East London who are knee-deep in the gang and street lifestyle that surrounds them.
Drizzy surprised fans by premiering the trailer for the third season of Top Boy – which is rumoured to take place where the show previously left off – during his London show.

The new season is set to include new characters, with UK rappers Dave and Little Simz taking part in the series after coming off the releases of their albums just last month.
Currently on a string of seven performances in the English capital, Drake quite literally “turned the o2 into the o3” with the name of the legendary venue being renamed for the tour.

That’s not the only project the Toronto rapper has coming on the way, the trailer for HBO’s Euphoria was released. With Drake listed as the executive producer, the show stars Zendaya and is based on the Israeli drama which shares the same name.
Although Top Boy is set to premiere on Netflix, and Euphoria on HBO, there’s no word on when either will be released just yet. Stay tuned for updates.
