Dev Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, just released his own remix of Negro Swan’s melodic, wavy song Smoke, bringing his own spin to the track.

Dev even went a step further to connect to the song is his own way by tributing it to his close friend and fellow rapper, Mac Miller.

Even if you don’t know Dev by name, you’ve most likely heard him in Mac’s 2018 release Self Care, which topped numerous charts everywhere shortly after his passing in September earlier this year.

“I couldn’t even prepare for the loss/What could I do but cry.”, Dev’s bars get raw and real as he lets us into how it felt losing a friend to tragedy.

Smoke – Remix also features Yves Tumour, a recent tour support for Dev, as well as Ian Isiah.
