Huge year for bromance collabs. First Ye and Cudi, and now this.

Chance The Rapper and Childish Gambino collaboration rumours go way back, like, way back to the 2017 Emmy’s when Gambino said that a “bunch of 14 year olds are gonna kick [his] ass” if he didn’t release a cross mixtape.

It’s been 2 years since Chance released Colouring Book, as well as around a year and a half since Gambino’s Awaken My Love, so it’d be great timing our favourite chart toppers to release some tracks from the vault (just saying).

We may not have to wait much longer, as Chance detailed in a recent interview with Peter Rosenberg for Open Late, dropping that he’s “actively like working on the project with Childish.”

Full episode, here:

Worried about the project being too short?

Don’t fret, this collab album will be no Kids See Ghosts, as Chance also confirmed during the interview that they have “six songs that are all fire. But [he] think[s] the album’s gonna be more than 14 songs…it’s gonna be a full thing.”

Chance departed the interview revealing that he’s hit the “30 percent” mark in regards to finishing all of his music in the works, and that he has a shit load of beauties hidden away.

Keep an eye out for a surprise drop. We’re calling it.

Big week in music. Listen to Drake’s highly anticipated album Scorpion here.
