Earlier in the week, A-COLD-WALL*‘s Samuel Ross debuted a first official look at their upcoming womenswear collection. SILICA marks the second female collection by the brand, designed for 2019’s Spring/Summer seasons and carries a range of sleek, futuristic-style garments to correlate with the brand’s technical features.
The collection draws on key influential design features from popular artists like Rachel Whiteread and Zaha Hadid. Eccentric nylon detailing and short skirts are two examples of these design features and theories passed onto the ACW garments.
Ross focused on not only making the collection aesthetically pleasing, but also drew on wearability and durability, a trait he sees as “more human” in fashion.
