‘The Room’ is one of the most beloved movies of all time. Not because of it’s high quality or its use of universally recognised themes that can resonate with all, but, because of how straight up awful it is.
Now, eccentric Hollywood figure/ full time enigma James Franco has finally released a trailer to his longtime in the making passion project – a move that pays homage to the production of The Room.
Aptly titled The Disasterpiece, the movie is based on Greg Sestero’s book that outlines what exactly went behind the creation of what is widely known as ‘The Greatest Bad Movie Of All Time’. Franco play’s Tommy Wiseau’s iconic character and strikes an uncanny similarity. James hasn’t had a huge hit in a while but there’s something about making an entire movie about the worst movie of all time that tells us he could be making a bounce back from the flop that was Spring Breakers (way back in 2012…..).
The film also stars Seth Rogan and Dave Franco so expect absolute hilarity to ensue.
