Ah Tinder, it’s changed the way we find love, market ourselves and spend our Friday nights. Millennials have been lambasted for their overuse of the swiping system, with Boomers criticising how it promotes incredibly shallow and surface level means of judgment to determine compatibility.

Even though generations passed used star signs and proximity as a way to find their life-partner, Tinder constantly cops flack even though it is well and truly a cultural force to be reckoned with.

Facebook groups are clearly the go to now for finding your niche crowd to share your innermost thoughts and opinions with (seriously there’s one for everything), so there’s no surprise that our failed attempts at tuning and corny pick up lines have found its way into a group to be publicly roasted.

Sad Tinder Posting is a closed group (you’ll have to be granted special access by an admin member) but don’t worry, you don’t have to be an avid swiper to gain approval, just a willingness to look into the weird and wonderful world of online dating.

Users post their escapades as others critique the messages, photos and questionable emojis received. At its core the group is there to ‘post your tinder finds, or your own tinder asking for advice or just to share‘. Supporting each other in these dark times of internet dating, personal branding and the ever changing meaning of emojis is imperative – any advice you can provide or sage wisdom is seen as meaningful and helpful. How #wholesome.

Here are some of the groups highlights, or lowlights if you will:
