We honestly haven’t slept soundly since watching the excellent remake of Stephen King’s classic IT. Now, unfortunately the nightmares and fears of all things red will endure.

Announced this week, It: Chapter 2 will arrive  theaters on September 6, 2019 and according to  MTV, the film will It, ‘pick up 27 years later, following the Losers’ Club as they each make their way back to Derry to confront the fear-eating evil that lurks in the sewers once and for all’.

“Once and for all” hopefully meaning, there won’t be a number 3 and we can go about our everyday existence without the paranoia of Pennywise the clown emerging from a street drain to torture us with our innermost fears.

According to Director Andy Muschietti’s “Chapter 2 wouldn’t be as funny as its predecessor” and will take place in 2016. Taking place in the present day will surely mean one of Pennywise’s torture methods will be deleting an Instagram profile or purging the world of avocados. Now, that is nightmare inducing.
