Cider; sun; dogs; bocce; basketball . . . cheese.

Is there anything better than having a few beers in the park?

Sydney is continuing to clamp down on areas where alcohol can be consumed. Over the past 7 years, the number of alcohol free spaces has nearly tripled, with Jubilee Park, Blackwattle Bay, and Harold Park the latest casualties.

Reclaim The Streets are hosting a ‘Civil Disobedience Party’ at Camperdown Memorial Park tonight.

The Facebook event says:
“Imagine a law that made it illegal to have a drink in your local park. Now, imagine this law was disproportionately used to target young people, Indigenous people, and the homeless.”

Bands will play from 7pm.

“Bring a rug, bring the kids, bring ya dog.”

Lineup:

Olga Solar
Bone Jones & the Skeletones
Cambio Sun
Eleanor Ewan
