Highlighting LA’s addition to the white devil, and the failed US policy on the war on drugs, PJ has utilised the famous gold statue in one of the most famous streets in America to project himself to the international  community.

Not much is known about the artist, taking on social and political themes throughout his stencil and installation art, heavily reminiscent of the infamous Banksy. Renown in the LA community, he gained attention earlier this month for his walled Donald Trump walk of fame star.

Hollywood sightseeers on the famous walk of fame were confronted with an unusual edition to Trump's Famous Star. Someone had built a 6" tall grey concrete wall around it. Complete with "Keep out" signs and topped with razor wire. The unofficial addtion to the icon star appeared early Tuesday afternoon, to the amusement of onlookers. There was no word as to who created the humorous installation. However the miniture wall was adorned with "STOP MAKING STUPID PEOPLE FAMOUS" which is believed to be the work of LA Street artist Plastic Jesus.

The plaque on the Oscars statue reads, “Hollywood’s Best Party” and was given a full official appearance, complete with a red carpet staging, velvet ropes and a security team (who dismantled the piece upon city officials arriving).

The #Oscarssowhite hashtag has been trending on social since the nominations two weeks ago. Many Hollywood stars have spoken out against the lack of diversity in the 2016 awards ceremony. Stars including Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Danny Devito and Edris Elba have all confronted the Academy’s mainly white members while some have even called for a complete boycott. Controversial Los Angeles based Street artist Plastic Jesus has again added to Tinseltown’s controversy with a street art installation. Overnight the British born artist installed two wash basins on a street in Hollywood that replicate an iconic 1950s photograph showing the segregation between whites and non-whites in the USA. The street installation on the LA’s trendy Melrose Avenue has two wash basins, one with a Hollywood style vanity unit and mirror with a bottle of champagne and 2 oscars invitation. Above it is a sign that reads “White” whilst alongside it sits a simple dirty freestanding basin under a sign that reads “colored” A replica of Elliot Erwitts famous 50’s photograph. In a statement the artist said: “America prides itself on it’s diverse population. But sadly much of the US is still very racist. Color still seems to be an issue in so many areas in the US. Law and order, employment, education, poverty, politics and movies. The visibility of Hollywood and the celebration of the oscars should show how the USA has embraced diversity. Clearly it hasn’t. I think the lack of non-white nominations has really just echoed something that we can see throughout American society.” "Whether it’s directors, producers, writers or financiers we need to see more non-white people at every level in the industry. And I don’t mean making fringe movies to appeal to non-white audiences. I mean making movies for the mainstream.” “A few months ago I was driving with my 8 year old Stepson, we passed a group of African American men standing on the corner he said “ wow those guys look scary”. I was shocked and asked him what he meant, he replied “ They look like bad guys in a movie” I recently watch “ The Cobbler” staring Adam Sandler - where he disguises himself as an African American in order to rob a man of his shoes. In the kids movie ‘Earth to Echo” Out of a bunch of kids it’s the Black child who steals a car. Sadly this is still the stereotyping that goes on in Hollywood. Last year Plastic Jesus placed a full size cocaine snorting oscar statue on Hollywood Blvd days before the glitzy awards ceremony. In April 2015 the artist placed “No Kardashian Parking” sign over Hollywood. In February 2014 he created a full size oscars statue shooting up with heroin shortly after the drug relayed death of Philip Seymour Hoffman. The 12 foot long lines of cocaine and 7 foot high $100 bill, along with a platinum American Express card - renamed 'American Excess' jas proved quite a tourist attraction. With passers by stopping their cars to pose for photos. Even two passing cops had to double- take after crusing past the mamoth streetart installation. The nacortic themed piece is beleived to the work of controversial street artist 'Plastic Jesus' who earlier in 2013 painted a piece moking discgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. The 3 foot wide stencil painted work showed armstring connected to and IV drip.

HOLLYWOOD LOS ANGELES. - Signs spotted in New York, LA, Chicago, DC and Miami. - Outside Trump Building in New York - One sign is a stones throw from The Congress building. - A sign is outside Trump Tower in Chicago There has been a lot of protests about presidential favorite Donald Trump’s campaign but none as official looking as this. Days after the controversial GOP candidate cruised to victory in the New York primaries official looking “No Trump Anytime” signs have appeared in cities across the USA. The metal signs have be spotted in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Miami. It’s believed that the signs are not official sanctioned parking restrictions but instead are the work of controversial Los Angeles based street artist PLASTIC JESUS. In April 2015 the artist installed “No Kardashian Parking” signs around Hollywood a move that was widely commended by the general public. He also gained notoriety for his cocaine snorting oscars statue placed on Hollywood Blvd a few days before the 2015 Oscar ceremony. The former photo-journalist has become known for his guerrilla style street art. The signs first appeared over the weekend are located on some of the most famous location and busiest streets including Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, under the shadow of the congress building in Washington DC, and Union Station . Los Angeles based street artist PLASTIC JESUS has become known for creating controversial artwork on the streets of LA and around the world. His latest piece is no exception. In the run up to this years oscars on Sunday 28th February the British born artist has unveiled his latest creation that is sure to cause controversy. The piece entitled“Back-up plan” is a near naked gold Oscar statue, STRIPPING! - complete with chrome pole, nipple tassels, stripper heels and dollar bills folded into her bikini bottoms. The artist said in a statement: “So many women come to Hollywood chasing a dream to become an actor, dancer or singer and sadly due to the lack of opportunities, combined with the high cost of living they are faced with the reality of having to strip in bars and clubs. It’s the only industry in the world where it is acceptable to strip as an internship. Many even believe that having been a stripper makes you ‘cooler’ once you (hopefully) become famous”. Many well know celebrities started out stripping when they were unable to find work these include Lady Gaga, Amber Rose, Carmen Electra, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Courtney Love. The 6 foot high figure, complete with it’s own red carpet took the artist 4 weeks to create and is sure to ruffles some feathers in Tinsel town. Last year Plastic Jesus had fans flocking to view his cocaine snorting oscar, thats was placed on Hollywood Blvd, only yards from the official venue for the glitzy awards.
