Known for the ubiquitous Obey logo and the iconic Obama ‘Hope’ Iconic, American artist Shepard Fairey blurs the boundaries of art and design. With over 70 large-scale public murals around the world and his works are held in the permanent collections in some of the largest art galleries, he is one talented guy.

Obey-Giant

If you still don’t get how big this guy is, then just let this sit with you — Shepard will be painting one of the largest public murals in the Sydney CBD. Something that is rare plan in the gentrified city of Sydney and tight council laws. You can watch some Sydney history in the making from 12 – 17 June where he will be painting the mural at 309 George Street.

Shepard is also returning to Australia to headline the Game-Changer Talks Series at Vivid.  The man himself is planning to share how he managed to turn his creativity into an authentic voice about street culture. But grab a hold of tickets fast!
