Jay-Z is no stranger to getting political. Aside from being good mates with Barack Obama (who we miss dearly), his music has constantly critiqued the American social climate with issues ragarding race and class.

 

 

In interview with BBC Radio 1, the legendary rapper spoke on raising his kids in the age of Trump, absolutely slamming the ‘joke’ of a President.

 

“I’m not fearful. I believe that we are resilient, especially us as black people and especially the culture — we’ve been through so much more than this guy.”

 

Jay went even further to say,

 

‘This guy, I’m looking at him like, man, this is a joke, with all…I can’t even say with all due respect—with all disrespect. I just think that, you know, he’s not a very sophisticated man’
