Conor McGregor has garnered a reputation for constantly pushing boundaries and revelling in his famous ‘I don’t give a fuck‘ attitude.

It’s something the widely succesful UFC star has gained both legions of fans as well as drawn in his fair share of haters for. However, just because his status has been built on this characteristic, we clearly can’t let him get away with saying just about whatever he wants.

A video has emerged of McGregor running his mouth backstage, dropping the outdated and totally unacceptable term ‘f*ggot’ in a conversation with a fellow teammate at a UFC event in Poland. In the videos below, you can hear McGregor use the world multiple times, check it out:

How are we supposed to achieve complete acceptance in society if extremely high profile and most of all, highly paid sports figures are reverting back to using archaic slurs, normalising their use within society? Leading up to his fight with McGregor had a lot the world supporting him in his pursuits, this is a disappointing and discrediting reveal for the star.

McGregor, in the past has vocalised his ongoing support for the legalisation of same sex marriage.

He’s not the only one known for teetering on the side of total distate –  Floyd Mayweather defended Donald Trump’s infamous ‘p*ssy grabbing’ comments a while back.
