We’re huge fans of big name label collabs and exclusive high end drops, however, like most justifying the cop of an $800 Supreme x LV beanie isn’t going to appease the bank account.

That’s exactly what the the Aussie-born, NY-raised photographer/artist  Ava Nirui, has used as her motivation behind creating some of the most creative and aesthetically beautiful bootlegs in the game right now.

In an interview with i-D, Nirui said, “I guess my creations are made in an attempt to make bootlegs acceptable and they also poke fun at the sterile/boring nature of the fashion world.”

“Growing up, my mom couldn’t afford to buy me authentic designer items.  Instead, my mom let me borrow her bootleg Prada and Chanel bags and I remember being so terrified that someone would notice they were fake.”

Nirui’s designs aren’t up for sale but if you take a look through her Instagram, you’ll see her designs aren’t just restricted to apparel….

She went further to say in the interview that “selling unique pieces would defeat the purpose of the bootleg”.

Can’t you share your talent with us, please? We’d be there for the cop ASAP.
